- the opportunity to gain new knowledge from high quality presentations
- panel discussions
- one-on-one member networking
- hands-on work resulting in tangible work products during WESTCAS committee meetings

“Planning for Average…Preparing for Extremes” - Water resource planning is built on averages… average annual precipitation, average annual streamflow, average low flow, average water use. However, extreme events do happen---ranging from drought to flooding---and they can have long term effects on managing water, wastewater, and storm water services – infrastructure, demand, conservation, water quality. We all recognize that building systems to handle extreme events is expensive and can result in inefficient oversized systems. But we need to be prepared to respond when necessary!
We hope you will join us at the WESTCAS Annual Conference June 20-22 to network, share, explore, and learn from up to the minute discussions and presentations on what we all need to do to be prepared. We will start Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30am, followed by a hosted lunch; and on Wednesday evening we will all gather at our Welcome Reception for fun and fellowship. On Friday morning at 9:00am our Conference will conclude with our Board meeting and all members are welcome to attend.
So don’t miss out! Please mark your calendars now and plan to be there! A detailed agenda and registration information will follow in a few weeks and will also be available here to register on-line.
