GEI Consultants (GEI), founded in 1970, is a privately-owned, multidisciplinary engineering, environmental, and planning firm. GEI has an established, preeminent Ecological and Environmental Planning Practice with staff that are recognized experts in the evaluation of water quality and ecological standards. Accordingly, GEI is frequently retained by clients, including litigation attorneys, to technically review, validate, re-test or respond to environmental investigation data and reports prepared by others. We have provided consultation and expert testimony and litigation support for government agencies, industry, mining and energy clients across the United States for over 30 years.
Our Ecological and Environmental Planning Practice routinely develops water quality and site-specific standards, collects or reviews fisheries, macroinvertebrate and habitat data, and performs ecological risk assessments. To support these activities, GEI’s Denver office hosts a full service aquatic biology, ecotoxicology, and limnology laboratory with 30 years of experience in the analysis of environmental samples, including ambient and whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing, low-level nutrient chemistry, and benthic invertebrate identification.
